Special Events and Programs

The Purchase Community House offers many Special Events and Programs during the year, including Early Bird Drop-off Days, Holiday Camps during school breaks, Pop-up events, Carnival Game Night, Wacky Fridays, Halloween Hullabaloo, community meetings, crop sharing with Acorn Organics at Old Oaks Country Club, and much more. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of these activities are on hold for the 2020-21 year. Information about other upcoming events will be posted here when they return.

Westchester Sports

Westchester Sports is partnering with the Purchase Community House to host several programs in the Spring of 2021, including a Spring Holiday Camp from March 29 - April 1, as well as Saturday Programs including Pre-K Soccer, Multi-Sports for K - 5th, and Flag Football for 1st - 5th.

WHY PILATES? Bone weakening happens naturally with the aging process, but osteoporosis need not be the end game. Pilates is a weight-bearing exercise that stimulates bone growth without high impact on your joints. Pilates exercises further strengthen the core and lengthen the spine, which lessens pressure on the lower back. If feeling good within your body is for you, then join us for a weekly Pilates class. The exercises are for all levels. Modifications will be offered to tailor the workout for participants.

CLASS POLICIES: Pre-registration by April 25th is required. To register, please email maliebowitz@aol.com. Registration fee can be paid at the first class. A minimum of 5 participants is required and a maximum of 10 will be permitted.

CLASS FEE: $160 PER PERSON FOR THE EIGHT SESSIONS - There are no refunds for missed classes. Makeup sessions are permitted for instructor-canceled sessions only.

Drop-ins are welcome. Drop-in fee is $25. Email Mary Ann at maliebowitz@aol.com to check on availability.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, all classes will be held outdoors with appropriate social distancing. Shelter is available in case of inclement weather. Face coverings are required when entering and leaving the class setting and are optional during the class.
